Managing Partner

Deniz Akgul is the Managing Partner of White Rose Capital Group. He brings rare expertise at the intersection of structured finance, asset-backed credit, and corporate strategy — a combination that allows him to deliver bespoke, high-impact financing solutions across the capital structure and different asset classes.

Mr. Akgul’s experience spans both investment and advisory roles, equipping him with deep technical skills in structuring, underwriting, financial analysis, ratings, and legal execution—critical capabilities that are difficult to develop outside of this niche. Unlike traditional structured finance, which focuses on standardized asset classes and financing structures such as RMBS or credit card receivables, corporate structured finance is bespoke and needs to be tailored to a company’s strategic and financial needs. This is an area where Mr. Akgul has extensive experience, particularly in a market that saw contraction after 2008 but is now re-emerging as institutional investors seek new ways to deploy long-term capital.

Over his career, Mr. Akgul has worked across origination, structuring, underwriting, and execution, working with the boards, management teams and investors on off-balance-sheet financings, hybrid capital structures, liability management, capital solutions, special situations, restructurings and recapitalizations across real estate, infrastructure, and other industries.

Mr. Akgul’s experience across the credit spectrum—from investment-grade to stressed situations—allows him to anticipate potential challenges corporates may face and design bespoke financing solutions that proactively address risks while aligning with long-term strategic objectives.

At White Rose Capital Group, Mr. Akgul leads the firm’s efforts in originating and structuring bespoke capital solutions, bridging the gap between corporate borrowers and institutional investors looking for scalable, risk-adjusted credit opportunities.
